What is wrong with the economy and who knows?

After hundreds of billions of dollars appropriated for bailouts the stock market keeps on sinking.
Economists agree that they disagree.
Government has discredited itself for failing to look out for the people and appears confused on the proper course to follow.
All economic levels of our society are unhappy with the economic turmoil as it affects their lives and future.

Not being an economist but just a regular citizen I would start by blaming the oil producing countries and speculators that have slowly bled the world economy with abusive prices for a barrel of oil. With the present world economic downfall the price of crude has fallen from around $140 to $80 and it may continue to do so. Oil producing countries have been under the impression that they can jerk the world with their product but have quickly found out that it is a double edge sword. In just a short period of time they have seen their massive profits placed in foreign investments shrink. They are now facing the reality that if the world cannot afford their oil they will suffer the same economic fate. Hopefully from this, our nation may have come to the realization that we can no longer be so dependent on foreign oil and there is an urgency for drilling and alternative energy.
Capitalism shares it portion of blame. Greed has been unsupervised and therefore abused. We could say that Government needs more regulatory action but in reality what is needed is for companies to return to sound long term goals practice instead of hiring CEOs that have driven many companies into bankruptcy or close to it by taking short term high paying contracts. Board of Directors should hire and pay incentives with long term commitments and not to some CEO that is hired with a three to five year overly paid incentive that will do nothing more than to walk out with millions while destroying the institution they were hired to protect. Capitalism does not need corruption to prosper but ingenuity. Companies have produced the character of the people they have hired and it is obvious that many companies have used poor judgment.
Government is greatly responsible for its inability to oversee and asses the status of our economy. In future elections voters should purge those who are inept and have neglected and abused the trust of our citizens. Our elected officials now appear to be running in circles trying to figure out how they are going the get out of the mess they got us in. They have been too busy being lobbied and selling their integrity for votes while trying to win elections.
Where the Senate and Congress make sure to provide for themselves good pensions and medical coverage fully financed by taxpayers they leave the taxpayers out in the cold to fend for themselves. The issue of Social Security has never been resolved and the much politicized universal health care is nothing more than a Socialist political stunt. If you are a taxpayer who file with the IRS every year and buy health insurance: Should you pay for the health care of those who don’t buy it? A more sound solution to health coverage is to aggressively pursuit cost reductions starting with law suits, pharmaceutical companies rip off and billing fraud that would consequently reduce the price of coverage and make it more affordable.
Probably the biggest challenge that we face is the upcoming presidential election is the clash of two completely different philosophies that are tearing our country apart. The outcome of the coming election will decide if our country will retain its traditional Capitalistic system or will head into a radical change towards Socialism.
The will of the people and our future is being challenged by corruption in the voting process. Recent news show that ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) has been involve in a massive voter registration campaign. There is no question that they support Barack Obama and have a Leftist Liberal Socialist agenda that extends far beyond political activism. They have for years been involved in elections fraud. ACORN is supposed to be a non-partisan organization although they openly support Barack Obama for president and have the support of Democratic politicians. They receive money from the Federal Government which they partially use to campaign for Democrats and undoubtedly must be illegal. They pursue an agenda of activism, agitation and intimidation as you can see in the video inserted. They are in part responsible for the mortgage crisis by forcing banks to issue loans to unqualified recipients. Barack Obama has been a big contributor and benefactor of this organization.
The outcome on the upcoming election will be critical and will determine whether our way of life and our traditional values will be preserved or perhaps forever lost to Socialism. The concept of an equal or classes society is not what our nation was founded on; that was already tried by the Soviet Union and it collapsed. As we can see in recent events since adopting Capitalism the wealth and stature of Russia has grown. The change in economic system allowed them to establish a middle class and the wealthy; yes there are many poor people but before the change everyone was equally poor. The Socialist/Communist in our country with the naive believe that poverty can be eradicated will destroy it if allowed. They would make us all equally poor except for them; the ruling elite.
Our nation's present political and financial situation resembles that of a ship that has sunken with only one life boat. There are one hundred survivors and the boat only has capacity for seventy people; everything indicates that not everyone can be saved. The more aggressive and better survivors (hard working Capitalists) have crawled into the boat and are helping others get into the boat to be saved. The boat is now filled to capacity but there are some (whining Socialist Liberals) that insist in letting the rest into the boat. It is obvious that if anyone else gets into the boat it will sink and everyone will perish. Everyone in the boat is going to have to row and do without food and water for days but at the end they will survive. How would a Conservative versus a Liberal handle this crisis?
If you are a Conservative no one else will get in the boat and seventy people will live.
If you are a Liberal you will insist to let everyone into the boat and all will drown.
The compromise should be to find out which of those in the water are Conservatives. Once established start throwing overboard the whining Socialist Liberals that are willing to have everyone drowned and bring in the Conservatives.
