The many uncertainties of living in a bankrupt country
By P Alfonso on Mar 20, 2009 | In 1. The Nation
Welcome to our reality show for that is the troubled country that we live in. I have to admit that I have been guilty of sharing the political ignorance that is present in our society. As most in our country, I lived in that world of deceit.
Follow up:
We are always too busy working and enjoying life with not enough time to pay attention on how things really function. We are also guilty of taking for granted what the media and politicians feed us. As we went on with our jobs, enjoy comfortable lives and put aside for the future most were unaware that there was an end to that cycle. Day by day, it becomes more apparent that it has been an illusion, as all living generations face nothing but uncertainties.
We live in an illusionary environment. Once it is understood, it is hard to describe such large deception. The best and simplest way to describe such life is to make a comparison with the movie “The Matrix”. If you have not seen it, perhaps now would be a good time to do so and if you have, you should refresh your memory by watching it again to see who we really are. We are in desperate need to find “The One” who will help us get out of the current mess and become truly free if at all possible. Barack Obama is definitely not “The One” for he as many other presidents are actually the guys with the sun glasses. They are the enforcers of the illusion of life in a Democracy in which we are free as long as we do as we are told. We labor and then are robbed to have our money spent in ways in which we disagree. Let’s not confuse good legitimate and honest Corporations and label them with Wall Street. Barack Obama is the Robin Hood of Wall Street for Wall Street “The King of Thieves”.
Let’s take a look at the two government's related financial institutions that comprise our national economy. The majority of our citizens do not understand how they work but yet they rule our lives. Perhaps we could ask if anyone really knows how it works for I am not sure I do. One of those entities manages the much despised IRS, the other does not even answer to our President. Which will lead us to the question of who do they answer to?
The Treasury who collects taxes or our hard earned money via IRS has long been bankrupted in spite of the trillions that it receives every year from us. You can find the debt by looking at the clock on the right side of this article or you can go here to their website. The actual debt is actually unknown for this figure does not in include the unfunded debt. You can visit this article that dates back to 2007 to see that the unfunded debt back then was $59 trillion. One can only imagine what is today and how much longer it can be sustained. For almost eighty years, we have been contributing to Social Security and all the fund has to account for is an $11 trillion IOU given to it by The Treasury. So as our national debt quickly rises we could wonder how long it will be before payments are no longer feasible and the eldest in our society will be left out in the cold, not to mention those who are approaching retirement and will be unable to do so.
The Federal Reserve was given an appealing name. It was designed to sound as if it was the foundation to our national wealth. As our financial conditions deteriorate and we inch closer to insolvency we can see that the absence of foreign desire to further invest on the dollar. The Fed now sees the need to begin purchasing ($300 billion) Treasury bonds with freshly printed money and become even more indebted. Wouldn’t it make more sense if the Treasury were to declare insolvency, default on the debt and dissolve the Federal Reserve? Not so easy, no president will be brave enough to attempt it and we don’t even know what the consequences would be. Assuming that the Federal Reserve was actually a government agency, how much sense does it make to lend money to yourself if you are bankrupted? Should we believe that such can actually and successfully be done?
As our economic situation further deteriorates, our citizen’s frustration will be replaced by anger and we could begin to wonder if we could be heading for a revolution to regain our country. Although the news media which is controlled by the banks that are owned by The Federal Reserve ignores the sentiment and concerns of our citizens there are some individuals who manage to get thru to the masses growing discontent. My suggestion is that if you want to find the truth then listen to those who are not on the payroll of the elite bankers. While we still can, go on line and research the following voices that offer more truth and honesty:
Peter Schiff – Gerald Celente - Jim Rogers – Ron Paul – Alex Jones and don’t miss Glenn Beck daily on Fox News. I also recommend not paying much attention to CNN, NBC… for much of what they feed us is a distraction away from the real events. Visit Bloomberg and World Press. I strongly recommend you take the time to watch Alex Jones video “The Obama Deception” hosted on Google video. See some of the historical facts that you may have overlooked and the elite bought news media are not going to tell us. Reading this article without visiting the links only offers a very limited amount of information so again I recommend taking the time and visit those links.
A president cannot serve two masters. How can they not be bought when it takes hundreds of millions of donated money to win an election? Looking back in history we could reevaluate presidencies and decide which surrogates were of the people and who served big business and the lobbyists that financed the election of Presidents. Perhaps we should also look back to find which of the four presidents that were assassinated may have been so because they actually tried to serve the people instead of those who control our finances.
I said it before and will say it again. Our government is giving us a misleading pep talk on an economic recovery. Yes, there eventually be a recovery but they are omitting the events and the years that will take place between now and then. The status quo is only an illusion and we must prepare to face in the near future very harsh economic conditions and perhaps civil unrest that will derive from our citizen’s desperation and anger.
