The Healthcare bill is likely to pass; here is why

Recent protest and drop of support for the proposed Healthcare program are more a show of discontent for government and its policies than for healthcare reform. Although there are some serious and valid concern about what is in the bill many of the protesters are taking their complaints beyond it. The bill can be read by visiting this link but I may warn you that I tried and gave up for I could not understand it. Perhaps that is why our politicians including Obama are not reading it.
The Obama administration is taking the nation in a path that is quickly drifting from the Free Market, taking away Liberty, scrapping the Constitution and stuffing the Bill of Rights in the trash bin. The protests that we have recently seeing are not only about healthcare, the people have drawn the line and are prepared to stop the Fascist-Socialist path in which we have been taken. If you attended the April 15th and July 4th protests, you witnessed the anger and frustration and the growing discontent of the American public. The recent show of discontent at healthcare Town Hall meetings follow the same pattern and have absolutely nothing to do with political affiliation. These people are holding Washington responsible for our financial mess and rightly blame both political parties.
Follow up:
Some kind of bill is going to pass, perhaps not in its present form but it will. Both the Republicans and Democrats know that it needs to pass. They are just going to play games for a while and change the proposed bill a little. The Republicans under pressure from the public will say, "We tried and forced some changes but they are the majority and there is nothing that we can do". The Democrats will have to take out some of the provisions that they wanted in the bill but will claim a victory regardless.
The career politicians in Washington are in a heap of trouble. They have promised and taxed us for a program that they cannot longer deliver. They have mismanaged and misappropriated the funds for Medicare and now it is insolvent. It doesn’t take much effort to find the truth, just click on this link and read it from the Social Security website. You don’t have to look for it is on the first paragraph. In 2008, the fund started to pay more than it receives. The Treasury has to start paying back what it borrowed from the fund but they are bankrupted also and need to borrow one half of what it spends. To make matters much worse Social Security is right behind it with an even bigger predicament for the bankrupted Treasury.
As usual, there is no truth as the puppet politicians and media play games with the people. It is obvious that something has to be done for there is no money for Medicare and Medicaid. Those who are bragging on how good our present Healthcare system is and do not want to change it need to take a close look at the reality. We soon will be like any other country; we will not longer be exceptional, at least for some time. We squandered all of our money and have bankrupted the world; nobody will lend us money and there is nothing left to steal. Wars may not stop but with no money to finance them with, soon our soldiers will come back home to a country they won’t recognize.
Presently we have no clue of how high the unemployment will reach; perhaps 20% to 30%. A public funded option will be the only medical care that these people will be able to get. If we were to reach 25% unemployment with the families attached to it, the uninsured could reach 40% of the population.
Medicare and Medicaid will eventually be eliminated and replace with a new program. Medicare is not free; recipients of Social Security pay nearly $100 a month for coverage. Many retirees have lost much of their retirement earning from 401ks. They will lose the rest of their savings if we have hyperinflation and our currency is devalued. So for those Medicare recipients that are opposing what the government is proposing the grim reality is that soon that is the only deal they are going to get. They will soon become the victims of the Social Security and Medicare Ponzi scheme.
Eventually the majority of our citizens will have no choice but to take the public option. With so many people dropping their Insurance policies, the companies will go bankrupt and then the rest of the population will be forced to join the government option. So far, only the pharmaceutical companies and the AARP are endorsing the proposed program. Although AARP did endorse the proposed health care program they are now having second thoughts because of opposition by the elderly, perhaps a little too late as the damage for them may already be done.
A government’s managed Healthcare will cause many doctors to retire or quit their profession and that will strain the system even more. There is already a shortage of doctors and many people could die from the lack of care. During a shortage of doctors and money, most of the deaths will come from the elderly and handicapped this will relief Social Security from some of its burden making it solvent for a few more years. The system will not be sympathetic to those who do not take care of themselves or have too many health problems; more death in these groups will ease the burden on entitlements like food stamps and welfare. Those that did not die during Katrina will die then. Do not think that our elected officials on both political parties do not anticipate this.
Less people will want to attend Medical School because their wages will be controlled by the government. The government will have to offer free Medical School in order to recruit new doctors as they do in Cuba where after graduating they are given housing and $30 per month. SEIU nurses beware that in Cuba they are paid $25 per month. The rich and Washington politicians will have private doctors and will pay them with cash. There will be no need for medical insurance and the peasants like it or not will be stuck with the public option.
Shame on you politicians! Protests should continue to point out to the career politicians in Washington that they have defrauded the American public and they should be added to the unemployed roster.
While government and the media want you to compare our economy to the new shingles they put on this house, the whole picture tells the real truth as it sinks in a hole of debt.
