The news media ignored, criticized, and try to ridicule the TEA Party movement when they gathered and protested in over 800 cities on April 15th. Even then, Barack Obama tried to ignored protestors and fool the rest of the country by publicly saying that he had not heard of these rallies taking place. Disingenuous lie or under informed President?
Follow up:
On July 4th when this root movement gathered once again, the media ignored them and discarded the fact that these events were even taking place.
The drive to sell the HealthCare bill during the summer has been a failure as again discontent citizens poured into the Town Hall meetings showing their frustration to an irresponsible and out of control government that has virtually ruined our economy and is threatening our Constitution and Liberty. Proof of the genuinely of this movement is their refusal to identify themselves with any political party. At the same time it shows their frustration with and illegitimate political system that fails to represent the bulk of its citizenry.
On September 12th, the March on Washington will take place. Will the media try to ignore the concerned citizens who are raising their voices in discontent? It will be very hard to ignore them this time.
The March meeting place is at the Freedom Plaza in Washington, DC. For those who don’t know where the Freedom Plaza is, let's say that when Barack Obama wakes up that morning and look out of his bedroom window he will be able to see and hear them. The plaza is located on the South East corner of the White House. The march will proceed on Pennsylvania Ave to the Capitol where the gathering will take place. See the schedule of events by visiting this link.
It would be hard to predict how many people will attend. For many it would require time off from work and travel long distances. Seeing the discontent that is boiling over in our country who knows, it could well exceed 100,000. Who knows if CNN or MSNBC will be there but Fox News has announce that they will have a crew present. Glenn Beck will cover the televised event from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Dr. Jim Boren: “Public apathy is more powerful than public opinion. There is more of it”
John Philpot Currant: “It is the common fate of the indolent to see their rights become prey to the active. The conditions upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime, and the punishment of his guilt.”
Be an involved citizen; let your actions and not fate determine your future.
