Patriotism and Barack Hussein Obama
By P Alfonso on Jun 30, 2008 | In 9. Presidential Election 2008
First it was the issue of race, as Barack Obama had to defend his association with his church and his pastor. All of us are very familiar with the racist and unpatriotic remarks that are the philosophy of United Trinity Church. Obama learned fast, that although he shared the church’s philosophy and views they were a liability on his resume for electability and disavow them. He abandoned his church and denounced his pastor a little too late. The reality remains that if he did not shared their philosophy, he would have not spent twenty years of his life eating out of their kitchen.
Now comes his speech on patriotism. Obama said in his recent speech while defending his patriotism: "Patriotism starts as a gut instinct, a loyalty and love for country that's rooted in some of my earliest memories." But what country is he referring to? Based on his previous behavior and language he must have being referring to the five years that he lived in Indonesia with his mother and Muslim stepfather, from age seven until he was eleven. Time after time he has had to defend his behavior and his patriotism. If it was not a problem, he would not have to defend it.
He went from not wearing the flag on his lapel, to being hypocritical and attending AIPAC with a double lapel flag. For someone that aspires to become President: How can we accept that he has the experience to become Commander in Chief if he does not even know proper protocol when the National anthem is played.
