Obama’s Socialism would destroy our freedom

I am the sole writer for my Read What I See website. I also frequently leave comments on articles that I read and find of interest and rarely participate in the discussions. Recently I posted a comment on an article in which I commonly agreed with the author. While reading other comments posted on that particular article I ran into the comments made by someone called Ernesto and I decided to respond by writing an article on his response to the author.
Follow up:
Ernesto writes: I respectfully disagree with your assessment of Obama. A number of the points you make, including his support for teaching sex education to five year olds, his origins, his Marxism etc., are widely off mark. He is a rather standard liberal in the Democratic Party, not a Marxist. Certainly different from of the Republicans, but well within the scope of post-WW II American politics. If anything, his policies are rather ordinary and liberal. I speak as a Cuban American who will vote for him with little enthusiasm.
Ernesto:
I am a naturalized U.S. citizen that was born in Cuba and do not call myself a Cuban American.
The day that I raised my hand in 1971 to take the oath of citizenship and pledge my loyalty to the United States of America I became an American and nothing else but an American. When I was a citizen of Cuba I thought of myself as a Cuban. Although my grandparents were natives of Spain I did not call myself a Spanish-Cuban. I am proud of my Cuban descent and the European ancestry as the majority of our citizens are but that is an issue of nostalgia and history and not of loyalty. So if you follow my train of thought, I find difficult to believe that people who call themselves African-Americans, Arab-Americans, Asian-Americans or any other combination really see themselves as true Americans or that they are totally loyal to the United States of America and the way of life that we inherited from our nation founders. Let’s look at it this way: Jane Smith divorces John Smith and marries John Jones, she then becomes Jane Jones. It would be easy to understand that John Jones would feel uncomfortable and not trust Jane if she insisted on calling herself Jane Smith-Jones. Get my point?
Barack Obama is a far-Left Socialist as his Senate voting record shows for 2007. This statement could be argued but trust me, if someone is the most Liberal Senator in the Democratic Party he is a Leftist Liberal Socialist. Since he beat Hillary he changed his rhetoric numerous times on many subjects but not his doctrine. Because of the bias Liberal media he has gotten away with murder. He is the O. J. Simpson of fair elections. He carries with him a rather large list of controversial items: His pastor, his terrorist friends, his crooked friends, ACORN, the flag pin, the national anthem… His position changes on: Nuclear power plants, oil drilling, withdrawal from Iraq, taxes and on and on… He labels John McCain as being another George Bush but on the second Presidential debate all he could say was: “I agree with Senator McCain." Does that mean that he agrees with George W. Bush?
Barack Obama knows that as a far Left Liberal he cannot get elected and he is telling the Centrists what they want to hear. It is clear that he is pretending to be someone that he is not and has managed to fool many Democrats and Independents as well as a few Republicans. Not to be overlooked is the issue of race but I will not touch it as I have already covered it in other articles.
You Ernesto appear to be part of a generation descendant of Cubans who do not share memories of a life in Cuba before Fidel Castro. “Seeing is believing." His predecessor Fulgencio Batista was a dictator and we could agree that no one likes to live under a dictatorship. The majority of those who supported Fidel Castro quickly realized that the loss of Capitalism was far more undesirable than to live under the rule of non-elected officials who are Capitalists. Even the economically poor Cubans lost the opportunity to better themselves and work their way out of poverty. During the past fifty years everyone in Cuba have been poor except, the ruling Elite. The money that Castro inherited from Capitalism only lasted two to three years and soon there was nothing left for anyone even after confiscating everything.
Fidel Castro eradicated illiteracy. He made sure that everyone knew how to read so he could indoctrinate them with Marxist publications. Under Capitalism the poor who is not interested in working hard in order to succeed do not have to work, we see it in our society. Under Socialism Fidel made everyone work in sugar cane fields and paid them nothing. He gave many a free University education. As an example the free education that he gave Doctors was worth $200 a month when they went to work for him and they cannot work for anyone else. They cannot open their private practice either for that is Capitalistic. Guess what else, they cannot join a Union and demand better pay because that can only be done where there is freedom. Do you find surprising that many of our Hollywood elite who love Barack Obama also love Fidel Castro? Even Jimmy Carter befriended with him. We can see that Liberals like Jimmy who preach fairness can ignore oppression over the promotion of Socialism. Castro is a shrewd liar just like Barack Obama and our Liberal Democrats. Fidel found ways to make excuses for his failed Socialism and blamed the Capitalist United States of America because we imposed economic sanctions and refused to sell them our products manufactured under the Capitalism that he detests. What the United States wanted him to do was to give Cubans the freedom to elect their officials as we do under a Democracy. Castro could not give the Cubans Democracy because it would automatically re-establish Capitalism and he cannot tolerate such because he is a Marxist just like Barack Obama, Hugo Chavez and many of our Democrats. We could find the truth about Socialism by asking the Russians that unsuccessfully lived it for nearly eighty years. Liberals and the Liberal media praised Castro because they wanted Socialism to succeed and to them that was more important than the Cubans freedom. Our moronic Liberals are more interested into giving freedom to a hand full of terrorist that are detained in Cuba than to free the eleven millions innocent Cubans who are repressed by a Marxist Dictator. So if you can accept this as true then you could understand that they could care less about us. They live in a fantasy in which their Socialist ideology is more important than freedom.
With all of this said is almost incomprehensible that in this Presidential election of 2008 so many are contemplating to vote for a candidate that is openly pledging to embrace Socialism. Doesn’t this resemble the above paragraph all over again? Let me rewrite it. Obama speaks of redistribution of wealth and Joseph Biden of paying more taxes is patriotic; that in itself is also distribution of wealth. Obama wants to establish Socialism which in other words means the end to Capitalism. Capitalism is not perfect but it self-repairs when it runs into trouble with the ingenuity and the hard work of those who support it. Liberals have been trying to combine Capitalism and Socialism for decades and that is the main reason why we are facing economic chaos. Socialism injected into Capitalism has a similar reaction to that of a computer that is infected by a virus or a human body injected with narcotics. They are all screwed up and nothing works right!
To destroy Capitalism, Obama and Leftist Liberal Democrats first must subdue those who have that natural build in desire to financially succeed. Submission as in other societies that adapted Marxism translates into establishing a Dictatorship. It can easily happen with economic chaos caused by a government that is unfriendly to the existing Capitalism. Corporations take their capital somewhere else in the world where governments are friendlier to Capitalism. Many of our Corporations already do. The rich would do the same. The rich Cubans did it and the Venezuelans have been doing it. The rich take their money and their families to a friendlier country and will leave a few crumbs behind such as their mansions and their luxury cars that are then taken by the ruling elite. A good place to move to would be Australia and New Zealand. They sound like good places to resettle with plenty of land and resources. For those countries it would be a tremendous opportunity to welcome our Capitalist money and knowledge. They could rise to be a major superpower while the United States would sink into a third world country.
The economic depression of the 1930’s when our population was 130 million would be nothing compared with today’s population of 300 million. In our modern day a depression with the population that we have in our major cities would create a catastrophic surge in crime and human suffering. If we are faced with a total economic collapse the rule of law would disintegrate into chaos. The people would be entirely left to the mercy of the government that then would nationalize the remaining industry, declare a national emergency and suspends elections. Is that simple enough?
I just gave you a Socialist Coup-d’état. Isn’t that what the Weather Underground wanted to do forty years ago? To Barack Obama’s friends William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn it would be at last a dream come true. So sort this out and try to rationalize in which direction Barack Obama wants to take our country.
One of Barack Obama’s successes during his campaign has been his ability to successfully and deceitfully linked John McCain to the Bush Administration. Whether you agree or disagree with George W. Bush at this point it is irrelevant. Let’s be realistic every man runs as himself and John McCain is a country loving patriot who does not look up to George W. Bush. If we were to judge the stature and the integrity of the candidates Barack Obama wouldn’t rise up to John McCain knees. I can understand some people who hope to benefit from Socialism wanting Obama elected and I perfectly understand why many like me don’t. What I find trouble understanding is why so many people like you that logically should not, do support him.
