Barack the first black President in the US?
By P Alfonso on Jul 4, 2008 | In 5. The Truth
Not quite that fast. The question has been put forward on whether Barack Obama if elected will be the first black President or the 44th white President.
The truth is that he cannot be either because he is a Mulatto by definition. Only in the still racist sentiment in our country, on both sides, a person that is half Caucasian and half Negro is considered a black person. Barack Obama if elected will be the first Mulatto to become President in our country. He will not be a white President and will not be a black President.
Follow up:
Referring to him as black, knowing that he had a white mother, is more proof of the reminiscence of a mentality that dates back to the pre-Civil Rights Movement. Based on the facts, it is an erroneous concept to see him as black because he is not. Perhaps we should ask Obama for his personal opinion based on the facts. Instead of assuming, let us find out what he really believes. Being the descendant of a white woman and having two white grandparents, he could hardly be identified racially as other than a mulatto.
The black population has shown support for Obama while they see him as being black. An indication of such is when Hillary lost most of her black constituency as they switch their support to Obama thinking that he is black. Has anyone yet heard Obama identify himself as being black? He acknowledges that his father was a black man from Kenya (not an Afro-American) and his mother a white woman from Kansas and that is as far as he goes. After the age of two, only once in his life he visited his Kenyan father.
Barack Obama is not black and that is a fact. Follow the link and find the truth.
