The Gross National Debt ***** $14.3 trillion ***** ***** debt ceiling ***** They did it again, from $12.1 to $14.3 trillion. They are tapping another $2.2 trillion to the national debt. They hope to make it pass the 2010 elections with this extra money. Who cares anymore for it will never be paid. We could wonder why it is called debt ceiling when it appears that there is none. On October 3rd 2008, the debt ceiling was raised from $10 trillion to $11.3 trillion. Hidden to the public and not publiziced by the media, in the stimulus package passed on February 2009 there was a provision to increase it to $12.1 trillion and now to $13.9 trillion. There is a catch to this as confidence has declined in our ability to make good on our debt. With a shortage of willing lenders, we have resorted in lending to ourselves via the printing press procured by the Fed. Our citizens who are concerned about the economy and have began to save money, are just handing their savings to a corrupt and bankrupted government who will not be able to guarantee their savings. They are feeding lies to our citizens of an economic recovery but what we are quickly approaching is financial Armagheddon?

Such irresponsible currency printing policy once thought to be only a practice of third world countries will make our precious dollar be worth no more than this. It is ironic that when Governments print worthless paper it is called money but if someone else does it is called counterfit.
So basically, CD's, savings accounts, pensions and 401ks will be flushed away.
