A new decade requires a new look at wars and the conservative media

Hardly anything influences our lives more that the information received thru the airwaves, whether it is TV or Radio. Americans have changed their perception in the value of the information that they receive from these sources. Many are now turning to the Internet where everyone is still allowed to have a voice and the threat of guided indoctrination is greatly reduced.
As a conservative, the last decade made me a Fox News freak and I still see them as the promoters of conservative values such as the Constitution, the preservation of the institution of family and other subjects that have been under attack by other media outlets. In the past, I also shared their views on the threat of foreign terrorism and the necessity for war. The latter has had a serious reversal and I no longer share their views on this subject, for I consider them a trademark of Fox News guided indoctrination. Do conservatism and traditional values share any parallels with wars and fear?
Having the time for research, I am truly thankful to the invention of the Internet. Such has given tens of millions of Americans the ability to become better informed with the assistance of others who were already well informed. This has generated a chain reaction that has damaged the credibility of media sources and those behind them. This fresh view has made difficult for me and other conservatives that I have spoken to of stomaching commentators like Bill O’Reilly. He works for Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdoch and we don’t know whom he works for other than the almighty dollar. For Bill is all about the ratings, he wants to remain in the number one spot and has morphed in order to retain his status. Recently he came under attack by Russia Today after he became critical of an interview they had with Bill Ayers. O’Reilly has the right to disagree with Bill Ayers but to attack and demean the reporter was far out of line. In reality, we can see as a disgrace to our national news sources that Russia Today has been reporting on important issues that our national controlled media will not cover.
I can still watch Glenn Beck and some of Hannity but these guys work and answer to Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes. In order to retain their jobs they will follow orders from their boss, watch the ratings, and work within the given perimeters.
It has become hard to stand being bombarded with the threat of terrorism and our enemies overseas when tens of millions of Americans have a lot of unanswered questions about 9/11 and the necessity for the wars that we are currently fighting. Fox News never asks those questions or welcomes others who will ask those questions. In that respect CNN Larry King who I am not a fan of, allowed Jesse Ventura to talk about it during an interview.
The belief that we are fighting necessary wars needs some serious review and we should be more inclined to recognize that Ron Paul and Denis Kucinich may be right. Fox News bombards its audience with fear and the need for war. It makes it feel as if we are watching the Military Industrial Complex promotional channel.
If we are going to save our country from disaster and retain our traditional values, we cannot pick and choose when we follow the Constitution we must do it all of the time.
Ron Paul has had a lot to say about wars, its constitutionality and how they have ruined our country but unfortunately few have been listening. As we are walking into a new decade and the threshold of national ruin perhaps, we should begin by listening what he has said during the last decade.
